The author has been a senior level banker with more than 33 years of banking experience. He had entered the Indian Banking Sector as a Probationary Officer in the year 1986 when Indian Banks were struggling to embrace the banking technology. The Banking Technology has been his forte in which field he had worked for more than two decades. He established & headed many important departments at Allahabad Bank Head Office like ‘Information System Audit’, Management Information System, Offsite Monitoring and also worked as Deputy General Manager & Zonal Head of Allahabad & Gorakhpur zones.

He was born in a middle class family where it was not easy to cherish a dream of becoming a doctor, Engineer or an administrator. He represents the growth story of Indian middle class during the second half of the nineteenth century. His story takes you through the lives of an entire generation which was born after Indian Independence.
